Critical Minutes Event Medicine
Critical Minutes Event Medicine (CMEM) is the first sub-branch of our parent non-profit organization, Brick by Brick Medical Corporation, whose overall mission is to increase access to healthcare, increase health literacy within our local communities, and foster a positive and supportive environment for aspiring healthcare professionals and personnel to grow and develop as both professionals and individuals.
CMEM specializes in providing high-quality first responder services to local events in and around the Bay area in order to decrease the stress on county EMS systems, while also providing invaluable opportunities to pre-medical/health individuals and students to gain exposure to medicine. By doing so, we aim to help companies and organizations host safe and rewarding events, while simultaneously providing opportunities for growth within our local community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a positive impact on our local community by:
Reducing the patient load on local EMS and hospital systems by providing high-quality, stand-by event medical services directly at event venues;
Working hand in hand with local companies/corporations/organizations to organize safe and rewarding events;
Providing mentorship, guidance, and advice to those interested in a career in medicine;
Strengthening our volunteers and employees as individuals and professionals by offering training, networking, and opportunities to grow - both as professionals and as humans.
Our Vision
We envision a diverse, close-knit community of individuals who are seeking to serve the community by providing their expertise in medicine. By doing this, we hope to improve the general health literacy of our communities through education and outreach.
Eventually, we hope that by increasing access to on-site medical services, we can positively impact the 911 systems by treating individuals without life-threatening medical complaints without unnecessary transport to hospital systems.
Lastly, we understand the importance of cultural diversity in the healthcare field now and in the future, and hope that by building positive relationships with and within CMEM, our employees will go on to practice medicine in a culturally competent and empathetic manner.
