After many years of working for event medicine organizations, Carolyn Ngo and Jean-Paul Orogo had a simple idea: create their own organization that not only provides on-site medical services for events, but also garners a sense of community, education, and increasing health literacy.

Both born from families that immigrated to the United States, Ngo and Orogo established Critical Minutes Event Medicine (CMEM) and a parent non-profit named Brick by Brick Medical Corporation in 2020 with the aspirations of increasing access to healthcare and fostering a supportive environment for young and aspiring healthcare professionals to grow.

By increasing access to on-site medical services at events, the organization aims to positively impact the 911 systems by treating individuals without life-threatening medical complaints so that there is no unnecessary transport to hospital systems.

Our Story

Co-Founder JP Orogo

“Working in emergency medicine throughout the past decade, our vision in creating this organization with a parent non-profit was to provide first responder medical services that not only reduces the workload on local emergency systems, but also is a way to branch out and help our local Bay Area communities. We not only want to service events. We want to provide quality, compassionate care. ”

Co-Founder Carolyn Ngo

“After several years of working in event medicine, JP and I had the vision to create our own organization. In addition to providing medical services at events, we are providing mentorship to a new generation of up and coming medical professionals. Our EMT's work in pairs and strive to provide the best care possible when an emergency situation arises. ”
